Description

Korsoun 1944 is a World War 2 Operational level board-wargame that covers the Korsun-Cherkassy pocket, in which two German army corps were encircled by the Soviets in January-February 1944. One player controls the Soviets and tries to close the pocket, while the other one controls the Germans.

Published in Vae Victis magazine #72 (Jan-Feb 2007 issue).

Components include:
- the magazine including wargaming & historical articles, plus the Rules in French;
- One A2 size colour mapsheet (41.5 x 59 cm; 16 x 23 inches);
- Two thin cardboard NON-die-cut countersheets, one for the front side, one for the back side, which need to be cut out and stuck together.

English translations of the Rules, the Tables and the accompanying article describing the battle of the Korsun Pocket are available from Grognard.com.
