Description
Bear. Girl. Beargirl. For about a month, I've wanted to read Troika!, just to see what the buzz is about. I skimmed the rulebook a while back, just to get an idea, but I haven't gotten around to it for a fuller readthrough since. This prompts a question: How much knowledge of Troika! is needed to make a functional background? This is part one of a two-part experiment. The Beargirl is a background made by merely skimming Troika! and listening to Jared's tweets. Later this month I'll read Troika and make another background so we can compare and contrast. Per the rules of TroikaJam I'll only submit one background, this one. I'll put the other one up somewhere, I guess. The game now has a supplement, Bear Magic, that describes what the spells do! Because apparently that's an important part of Troika!. Anyway, my love and apologies to the Troika! community.
