1872: The Railways of Japan

Description

1872 is a game in the 18xx series set in Japan. A game of route building and running trains to make money. The player with the most assets (cash and share value) at the end wins. Corporations start out small and grow into larger ones through growth or merger. Then, later in the game, these larger corporations may merge to form systems. Failing corporations are taken over by the State Railway. Players may invest in the State Railway, but have little influence on its operations. —description from the designer
