Description

CMYK Tricks is a 2–4 player trick-taking game where players compete with double-sided color chips representing the eight colors of the color wheel: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Red, Green, Blue, and White. At the start of each round, every player receives nine chips. Each chip is double-sided, and the side played determines the winning condition for the trick. Playing the RGB (light) side makes the lowest value win the trick, while playing the CMYK (color) side makes the highest value win. The lead player's choice of side establishes the victory condition for that trick. Color relationships also influence trick resolution. The lead color, along with its adjacent colors on the color wheel, outranks the remaining colors. White and Black are adjacent to every color, creating additional tactical possibilities. Winning tricks is only part of the challenge. Throughout the round, players build their own collection of colored chips, scoring points for individual colors and for creating specific color combinations. Deciding when to win, when to lose, and which colors to collect is the key to achieving the highest score. With its double-sided chips, dynamic trick-winning conditions, and color-combination scoring, CMYK Tricks offers a distinctive twist on classic trick-taking games.
