Description
Devote everything you have to the reborn Demon Lord! In How to Raise an Elite Demon Lord, players take on the roles of officers in the Demon Lord’s army, competing to prove their loyalty and contribute the most to their master’s return. Players build and refine their decks, recruit subordinates, complete tasks, unlock asymmetric character abilities, reserve rooms in the Demon Lord’s castle, and strengthen the Demon Lord’s four attributes. The game is played over up to three semesters. On their turns, players use cards to perform actions and advance along their personal reward tracks. Resting refreshes a player’s deck, but also advances the shared Holiday Track, allowing players to influence when contribution scoring and market updates take place. Through spatial placement in the Factor Conversion Area and expansion across the Demon Lord’s castle, players compete for resources, routes, bonuses, and contribution rewards. Although everyone is helping the same Demon Lord grow stronger, only the officer with the most Loyalty will receive the Demon Lord’s highest recognition. How to Raise an Elite Demon Lord is a medium-weight Euro-style strategy game combining deck-building, engine building, asymmetric development, technology-tree progression, spatial placement, and area majority.
