Description

May Day is a matching and collecting game with 40 flower name cards ready to be matched to 40 illustrated flower cards (deck of 80 cards). The illustrated cards have no name printed on them so the players must know their flowers. The flower name cards are separated from the others and scattered on the table face down. The flower cards are then dealt out and players place these face up in row in front of them. The player to start draws a card from the centre of the table and calls out the name and the player who identifies the flower claims the name card, places the two together as a trick. This player then draws the next card and so on. The game goes on until one player has created pairs with all of their cards. There is a pool of counters created for this game to establish a stake and the winner takes all. Forfeits can be made to the pool for wrong claims.
