Description

You have been sent by the King to a lone Keep on the frontier of the kingdom. It is your task to explore the wilderness, add new lands to your fiefdom, and protect the realm from both barbarians and horrible monsters. At the start of a player turn, assign workers via roads from the Home Keep. These workers will gather resources or enable powers. The player can attempt to conquer a tile from the wilderness stack to add it to their fiefdom. Tiles have defensive values and provide resources if conquered. If the tile has a barbarian on it, and you fail to conquer it, a worker is moved to the cemetery as a casualty. When the wilderness stack runs out, a monster tile is drawn. The monster will move about the board, spoiling the tiles in the fiefdom, until the player defeats it or the monster wrecks the Home Keep. The player loses if the Home Keep is overtaken by the monster. The player will win if they defend the kingdom from the monster and points are scored based on non-spoiled resources within the fiefdom.
