Description

The Creep crawls out of the comic pages in Fright Fights: Creepshow, a head-to-head card battle to the death drawn from the horror anthology classic Creepshow. Each player has a character card, their character's deck, and a hand of four cards. Every round, both players choose a card face-down, then reveal simultaneously, with the priority player acting first. Attack cards require a six-sided die roll to hit; Defense cards block incoming damage; Versatile cards let you wait until your turn to decide whether to attack or defend; and Special cards provide instant effects or ongoing equipment. A natural 6 is a critical hit that cannot be blocked. Health is tracked on a ten-sided die, and the first player to reduce their opponent to 0 health wins. The characters play asymmetrically: Stan fights a scrappy defensive game, punishing attackers and shrugging off even unblockable hits, while The Creep builds up creeping Equip cards and lands attacks that can't be stopped. All Fright Fights games are cross-compatible — any character can fight any character from another set — and a 2-vs-2 team mode brings the fight to four players. (The game plays with exactly two or four players; there is no three-player mode.) —description from the publisher
