Description
Push is a set of rules covering land combat, 1930-1945, but with a difference. The game features three bases representing one company of infantry, and innovative rules for firing. It’s a hybrid IGOUGO system, allowing both sides to be active throughout the entire game turn. While there’s no twiddling ones thumbs while waiting for the enemy to finish a turn, there’s also a quiet lull allowing players to plan their movement in peace- until the actual moving begins, that is. 4P Press being run by an autistic history fanatic, Push features a separate 109 page unit database to go along with the 77 page rules, as well as a detailed QRS and a cheat sheet for unit traits. And as if that weren’t enough for a measly 11 bucks, there are also three more PDFs of scenarios. One a collection of eight historical stand alone scenarios, and two mini campaigns: France 1940 (featuring De Gaulle’s 4th Armored Division), and The Road to Moscow, 1941 (featuring a lot of Russians). The database contains many interwar vehicles, going all the way back to some rather ancient WWI vintage armor. There is also a separate section for the Spanish Civil War, and a generous portion of period aircraft ratings for those nasty ground attacks. —description from the publisher
