River Crossing

Description

River Crossing is a trick taking game where some of the tricks will sink and not be successful. Remember the riddle of the farmer who approaches a river with a fox, a chicken, and a bag of corn? He must cross the river in a tiny rowboat that only has room for him and one other thing. He can't leave the chicken with the fox or the corn. What will he do? Should we help him? Play tricks and try to guess how many you will win knowing that some of the tricks will sink if there is a chicken in the boat with a fox or the corn. The farmer does keep a watchful eye so if he is in the trick, the trick will not sink. —description from the designer
