Description

Curiosity Killed The Cat a social bluffing game where players pass dangerous cards around the table, deceiving each other in order to survive, complete Rituals and claim Souls.

Every player starts with nine lives. Like a cat.

To win, you need to collect Souls. Souls are earned by completing Rituals or winning rounds. On your turn you take a card and look at it. Say what it is out loud (you can lie) and offer it to another player. If they accept the card, they suffer/benefit from it's effect. If they reject the card, they lose 1 life, may look at the card and offer it to another player who hasn't seen it (they may also lie). The card is passed around the table until somebody takes it or everybody has seen it and rejected it. If everybody rejects it, the card is returned to you. The deck is comprised of Life and Death cards that can help or harm you, Cat Fights that force players into dangerous duels, Cat Burglars that steal lives from other players and Ritual cards that are played onto Altars granting immediate effects and contributing towards unlocking powerful relics. Players also have a set of single use skills that can be used at opportune moments in the game. Meowtiply (Double a card's effect), Scratch That (Cancel a card's effect), Curiosity (Look at a card before accepting it) and Copy Cat (Copy life gained by another player). —description from the publisher
