Description
In Alphabet Soup, you compete to spell words of designated lengths to collect point tokens, using letter cards in the play area and from your hand. Stretch your vocabulary to cook up longer words to maximize your score! Spell words with a number of letters that match the tokens to score Cook up longer words to gain more points Challenge players if you don't think they have what it takes to complete a word! Your goal in Alphabet Soup is simple: score the most points by creating words that match or exceed the value on the available tokens… and sometimes by challenging your opponents at just the right moment. On a player's turn they can Play, Pass, or Challenge. Playing a card is simple. You take a card from your hand and place it next to a card on the table. You can rotate the card 180-degrees before placing it, and it can go on either end of the card row, or between two existing cards. When you pass, you discard up to 3 cards in your hand and draw that many cards. Challenging can only happen if there are 4 or more cards in the row on the table. You challenge the last player who played a card (you cannot challenge yourself). That player draws a card and can play any number of cards from their hand to attempt to score. You may score at the end of a turn where you play cards. If you've spelled out a word that matches or exceeds the number on a scoring token, you may take it. The player with the highest score when all tokens have been taken wins!
