Description

“The wretched Earl of Wynnport has drained the town of all wealth and resources; its citizens live in poverty and sickness as the Earl hoards his riches, sitting on a pile of artifacts, trinkets, and gold. Something must change. The people of Wynnport need upheaval. They need you.” In We Ooze, You Lose, players take on the role of Woe (a mysterious master thief) and her best friend, Oozewald (a giant, sentient, cube-shaped, jelly-pile). Together, you will take back the evil Earl's ill-gotten gains, suspending and securing all of your seized treasures so that the town of Wynnport may thrive again! ‘We Ooze, You Lose’ is a combo-driven, build-your-own-polyomino, roll-and-write, dungeon heist where players collect treasures and items as they attempt to gain the most Victory Points. This is done through Wealth Redistribution (Treasure Icons), Folk Hero Status (Scroll of Renown), and other milestones! The gameplay is simple: three (d6) dice are rolled into a communal pool, the ‘active’ player selects a die, then all other players may pick either of the two leftover dice. This die choice will inform all subsequent actions in a round as players fill in various spots on their two Personal Game Sheets (Dungeon Sheet & Room/Scroll of Renown Sheet); these actions include: picking an item to pilfer, completing sets, building their own polyomino ooze shapes, traversing the dungeon, comboing off, oozing Guards or Cultists, and scoring victory points! We Ooze, You Lose takes place over an indeterminate number of rounds, ending when a single player has fully collected three of the five treasure Icons on the Dungeon Map. This means the game is quick, snappy, and filled with tension! "This is gelatin cubed curation… to save an oppressed nation! So, you magnificent mavericks, are you ready to play?" —description from the publisher
