🤝 Inclusive design ⓘInclusive design is separate from a game’s queer labels. It marks games whose design is deliberately inclusive even when not queer-themed: romance or marriage mechanics with no gender constraint, character creation without a forced gender binary, gender-neutral rules language, or table safety tools. Each marker shows where we found it.

Description
A two-player storytelling card game played on opposite sides of a closed door. A TTRPG about brothers in the zombie apocalypse and the final days before one of them turns, sharing their final moments together. Gameplay: The Time We Have provides all the tools you need to tell a compelling story in about 90 minutes. All you need to play is the game deck and a door. There are three kinds of cards you will encounter during play: prompts (aloud asked questions in character and discuss in/out of character), perception (silent cards passed under the door), and infection (ends a fictional day). KNOCK for Safety The Time We Have is a tragic game with heavy themes. So it features an original safety mechanic (inspired by the X-card by John Stavropoulos and Script Change by Thoughty). Players can adjust, pause, and stop play by knocking once, twice, or three times respectively. Play in Any Zombie Apocalypse: With one of 10 "Door" cards, you will define the particularities of the zombie apocalypse around you or define your own throughout play! Each Door card has a piece of micro-fiction on the front that will inform the setting, time period, and nature of that card's zombie infection and a corresponding illustration on the back. Every game of The Time We Have will end with the same question...Will you open the door?
