Asturias hides within its mountains a story of stone, mist, and silence. Ancient paths connect villages, mountain passes, and forests, challenging those who dare to travel them. But today, more than ever, these trails are the domain of the finest mountaineers of the 21st century. A new generation sets out to conquer the most spectacular routes of the Principality… and you are part of it! In this deckbuilding game, your goal is to complete the iconic mountain routes of Asturias, Spain. You begin with basic equipment and poor physical condition, so you will only be able to do the easiest routes. However, you can improve your gear by purchasing cards from the market, increase your physical condition as you complete routes, and earn points and/or presence on the map. To climb the highest routes, you will need not only the proper equipment and excellent physical condition, but also to have completed lower-level routes first. The game ends when a player runs out of tokens to mark completed routes or when the deck is exhausted. In addition to the points earned during the game, players also score points from hidden objectives requiring specific routes to have been completed, as well as bonus points for map majorities. —description from the designer
