Description

Players are cheerful dogs out for a walk, trying to enjoy the perfect route from home to the park and back again. Winning tricks lets a dog move ahead along the walking path, collecting tasty snacks on the way, but rushing too far may send a dog home before enough points have been gathered. A good walk is not just about being the fastest dog, but about finding the right pace and grabbing the best treats before the stroll ends. Inu no Osanpo Teikingu (Dog-Walking Taking) is a trick-taking racing game in which players use numbered dog cards in four suits to move their dog pawns along a map from home toward the park and back. Each trick is played with a lead suit that must be followed when possible, with no trump suit; the highest number wins the trick, and ties are won by the later-played card. The winner advances their dog, usually one space for lower cards and two spaces for higher cards, collecting snack chips from the board for points. Hands do not refresh during the round, so players must carefully manage card strength: winning too often may bring a dog home too quickly, while weak cards may leave a player unable to move or score enough treats.
