Harissa the Game

Description

Harissa Le Jeu is a fiery, fast-paced party and trivia game designed to test your general knowledge of Tunisia across 10 different categories (including History, Geography, and Pop Culture). Available in both Tunisian Derja and Francophone versions, it is billed as the "spiciest general knowledge test in Tunisia." Players or teams compete across three distinct rounds of trivia. On your turn, a custom die is rolled to determine the spice level—and therefore the difficulty—of the questions you must answer: Masta Lasta (Easy), Mwazwza (Medium), or the dreaded Harra Techoui (Hard). The game comes with a companion mobile app (iOS and Android) that acts as a digital game master, handling the timer, points tracking, and turn order. You'll need to think fast, as the second round introduces a 1-minute speed-trivia challenge. You can pass on a question, but be careful: while the first pass is free, any subsequent passes require you to eat a spoonful of Harissa during your turn! The stakes are high, and at the end of the three rounds, the team with the lowest score must eat a spoonful of Harissa to "remember the taste of defeat and study up for next time." (The game box even generously includes a tube of Tucal Harissa just for this purpose!)
