In Brink of Collapse: Temple of the Fifth Sun, players are freelance explorers hired by the mysterious collector Silas Ravensworth to investigate a newly discovered temple on a remote island and recover what they can from within. At first, the expedition is a shared discovery — but when the ancient structure begins to collapse, survival, reputation, and reward quickly become personal. On each turn, players spend action points to lay hex tiles, move through connected passages, and collect artifacts while racing toward the exit. The shortest path may be safest, but dangerous detours can lead to greater rewards. As the game progresses, new dangers are revealed and the collapse advances, removing parts of the temple behind the players.
