Mariners

Description

Mariners is a competitive sci-fi game of resource management and deck-building. You take on the role of scientists in space, gathering information from strange new worlds. Gain points by exploring areas of scientific interest, building your team and, most importantly, making breakthroughs in research. Your starting deck has pilots to navigate your ships to different spaces, and crew to determine what you can do there. Players take turns to place one of their two ships. You can visit a site to gain tokens, progress up the research track to earn points and unlock upgrades for your ships, or risk the abyss for the chance to find ‘wild’ resource cards. At the end of the round, players may spend resources to buy new cards from the market to add to their deck. —description from the designer
