Description

Cluoker is a minimalist logic-deduction game played with a standard 52-card deck that challenges players to identify a hidden card they cannot see. At the start of the game, each player is dealt an "Answer Card" which they must show to all opponents and then place face-down on the table; consequently, everyone knows your target card except for you. By managing a small hand of cards and strategically playing them as "probes," you gather binary feedback to narrow down the suit and value of your hidden card through a systematic process of elimination. The core of the gameplay revolves around the "±1 Rule." On your turn, you play a card face-up and ask the group if it is a "clue." A card is confirmed as a clue if it matches the suit of your hidden card, is numerically adjacent (±1), or has the exact same value. Because of the wrap-around structure (where Kings and Aces are adjacent), players must interpret "Yes" or "No" responses to triangulate their card's position within the deck's hierarchy. Players physically track this feedback by orienting their played cards—placing them vertically for "Yes" and horizontally for "No"—creating a visual logic board in front of them. Victory is achieved through a single, high-stakes declaration. Instead of playing a card to gather more information, a player may choose to guess their hidden card's identity. Because each player only has one chance to guess, the game rewards those who can balance the risk of guessing early against the danger of waiting too long. If you guess correctly, you win immediately; however, a wrong guess results in instant elimination. In the event that multiple players identify their cards within the same round, the game ends in a draw, celebrating the shared mastery of the game's logical constraints.
