Description

An auction game of partial information, hunting for scarce gems based on the dynamics of competitive markets. "A game that combines strategy, mathematics, and a sense of adventure to simulate open market trading." -- Box blurb. Players make single-bid secret auctions on gems (which come in five colors), loans, and investments, with the value of gems at the end of the game set by the number of matching gems that began the game 'off the market' in player's hands. When the last gem is purchased, the game ends and all gems and prizes are converted to money for scoring. Each player's hand is their secret information, which is revealed one card at a time as they win auctions. A few prize cards laid out at the start specify sets of gems which will receive additional prize money to the first to claim them.
