Description

GOAT is a bluffing and betting game where players form contracts with demons and wager on the most valuable of 3 suits each round . Each player will have a slightly different set of concealed information, so they must carefully observe the bets of other players and make a calculated risk to come out ahead. Players start with 4 chips of varying denominations which they may exchange to obtain a contract with one of game's demons, who will provide chips with unique powers in return, though they'll also risk the player's life total should they lose the wager. Each player will draw a tile from a bag with one of the 3 suits on one side, and a value of 1, 2, or 4 on the other. The players choose one side to keep secret, then all players reveal the reverse side at once, adding another dealer tile that no player knows the reverse of. One at a time, players place all of their chips face down distributed among the suits as they wish, then reveal them one at a time in the same order, resolving any demon powers that activate. The players who bet the most on the top suit gain a point, and those who bet the least lose a life point. The game ends when anyone scores 3 points or loses all of their 7 life points.
