Description
Astatos is a team-based card game for 2-8 people where players act as crown mages for either the divine god, Makari-hari or the devil Mukaki. The goal of Makari-hari's team is to activate 5 seal cards and seal away Mukaki while Mukaki's team tries to corrupt the opposing team onto their side. The teams try to achieve their asymmetrical goals over a series of trials where energy is used to recruit heroes with unique special abilities. Players draw energy cards during each trial which act as player health and currency to activate seals and recruit heroes. The players and hero cards on each team swap frequently due to different card effects, so having too much energy may lead to teams fighting over players more than heroes. The complete edition includes expansions 1-4.
