Description

The ultimate path-building competition! The goal of Truché Tango is to move your game piece through the channels in the tiles to reach the other player’s starting arrows before they reach yours. The game is played on a 10x10 grid of truchet tiles with each player playing on one side of the square grid as one of 4 colors: red, blue, orange, or green. There are 2 phases to the game: Phase 1: Players lay down tiles to fill all 100 spaces on the game board Phase 2: Players race game pieces across the board through the white channels in the tiles and use Tango cards to reconfigure the board Each player has 30 tiles made up of 6 distinct truchet-style designs (each of the 4 colors has 5 tiles of each design). Each channel in the tiles will always connect to another tile's channels no matter how they are rotated or arranged. Tango Cards: A Tango card is a chance to reconfigure the board, but comes with some risk as not all cards help the player who pulled it. Swap any two tiles: Player can swap any 2 tiles on the board Rotate any tile: Player rotates any 1 tile on the board Swap opponent’s tile: Player can swap 2 of any opponent’s tiles on the board Swap your own tiles: Player can swap any 2 of its own tiles on the board Place a black or white tile: Player can replace any tile on the board with a solid-colored tile (Black tiles block all paths, White tiles connect all paths) Next player swaps tiles: The player whose turn is next can swap any 2 tiles on the board Next player takes over turn: The player whose turn is next takes over the remaining moves of the roller’s turn before starting their own turn.
