Description

Exalt is a tactical skirmish game set in a world where ancient spirits have nearly faded from existence as people’s belief in them has waned. To reclaim their influence, the spirits have challenged heroes across the land to battle in tournaments for their blessing. Each player commands one of 10 Heroes and their Minions, moving around a hex-grid arena to outmaneuvre and defeat their opponent. A central part of the arena and the strategy is the Temple Door. Players use this gateway to the spirit realm to gain temporary blessings that can sway the tides of battle. The game blends position-based combat, resourceful action management, and opportunistic use of powers to control the board. Players are rewarded for using tactical foresight and adaptability, as rounds are quick and each Hero brings their own strengths and weaknesses. —description from the publisher
