Description

In an alternate-history 1950s, astronomers make a discovery that changes everything: a cosmic catastrophe is approaching Earth on a fixed and unstoppable timeline. Governments around the world reach the same conclusion—there is no way to stop it. Survival will require escape. The race begins. In Kiamat, players lead rival world powers as they launch from Earth and push outward into the Solar System, harvesting resources from Luna, Mars, and the distant outer worlds. Each expedition is costly, and every decision matters. Players must carefully plan their routes, timing, and investments as they work to advance their civilization toward a single goal: building enough infrastructure to leave Earth behind before time runs out. The game unfolds over a series of phases. During each phase, players venture into space to gather resources and push their survival efforts forward, then return to Earth to regroup and prepare for what comes next. But as the end draws closer, public morale steadily declines. Desperation grows. Players may bend the rules to gain short-term advantages—but every shortcut comes at a cost, and the people are watching. Kiamat is a tense race game where speed alone is not enough. Any civilization that fails to complete its escape is eliminated entirely. Among those that succeed, victory goes to the player who reaches the end with the strongest morale and the most stable society. The world may be ending—but how you leave it behind still matters. —description from the designer
