Description

Genesis is a solo roll-and-write game set during the first three minutes of the Universe, when all that existed was a quantum soup of elementary particles. In this chaotic state, the player will attempt to confine quarks into protons and neutrons and gather enough electrons and energy to give rise to the fundamental constituents of matter. The game is divided into two stages. In the first stage, the goal is to collect sufficient protons, neutrons, electrons, and photons. In the second stage, the player must trigger Primordial Nucleosynthesis—the process responsible for binding protons and neutrons together inside the very first atomic nuclei of the Universe. You win the first part of the game if you manage to form at least one stable proton and one stable neutron, and obtain enough electrons and photons to create atomic nuclei before the entropy of the universe reaches a certain level. You win the second part of the game if you activate Primordial Nucleosynthesis through the exchange of gluons between nucleons. You lose the game if you obtain too much antimatter or if the entropy of the universe reaches a certain level before you achieve your objectives.
