Night Climbers of Cambridge

Description

In this card game, two to four players take turns completing progressively harder climbs to earn agility and confidence points which, in turn, can be used to take on more challenging climbs still – until they’re finally in a position to take on King’s College Chapel – the acme of the Cambridge-climbing Alps. Along the way they have to avoid increasing police and porter presence, varying and sometimes treacherous weather conditions and keeping up their all-important academic progress – or risk losing their places at Cambridge. Advantages can be picked up too – rubber-soled shoes, a streamlined coat or extra stamina and muscles from punting, for example. If all the dangers are avoided and the plucky climber attains the highest peak without apprehension by the authorities, then they can return to earth triumphant and claim eternal bragging rights – until the rematch, of course. —description from the publisher
