Description

Das grosse Spiel der Verben ("The Big Game of Verbs") is a useful card game that focuses on recognizing and using German verbs. Players learn and practice German conjugation and sentence structure in an entertaining and engaging way using 100 verbs from the basic vocabulary and various situations. The game consists of 100 colored cards with a picture of an action and the corresponding verb in the infinitive. There is also three folded cardboard dice: One with subjects, one with sentence forms (affirmative, negative, and interrogative) and one with grammatical tenses (Präsens, Perfekt, Präteritum, Plusquamperfekt). The game instructions include rules and suggestions for seven games that can be played in class or at home with friends. German names of these games are: Das 21er Spiel, Die Mimik Macht's, BIS, Memory, Der Weg, Das Schachbrett. In most of the games the winner is the player with most cards at the end of the game.
