Cell Block 18

Description

No one has ever escaped from Cellblock 18, but there is always a first time. Match wits as Warden and Prisoner and use the tools at your disposal to either escape or prevent escape in this asymmetric 2-player card game. Cell Block 18 is an 18-card strategy game. Players take asymmetric roles as prisoner or warden. Players take turns deploying cards to one of three lanes. The prisoner plays cards face down, attempting to create a set of three cards - a tool, clothing, and method - to allow them to escape and win the game. The prisoner also has access to one of three single-use special abilities that can disrupt the warden's plans. The warden plays cards face up to attempt to block the prisoner's escape. Guard cards can reveal hidden prisoner cards or block the prisoner from deploying cards to specific lanes. The warden can also deploy cards that block certain means of escape to specific lanes. The game ends either when the prisoner reveals the card set they need to escape or when they run out of cards, making escape impossible. —description from the publisher
