Description

Sumigi is a fast, strategic card game that turns addition into an exciting race of logic, memory, and tactical disruption. Players work with blue Addend cards and red Sum cards. On each turn, they decide whether to declare a valid mathematical set, disrupt an opponent with an attack card, or draw to strengthen their hand. The core of the game revolves around building combinations of addends whose total matches the value of one of the player’s open red cards. Declaring a set requires both accuracy and clarity: players must show their Addend cards and verbally state the correct calculation. A successful declaration closes one of their red Sum cards; an incorrect declaration discards the attempt with no progress. Special cards such as “Exchange,” “-2 blues,” “+1 red,” “Stop,” “Bounce,” and the wild “Sumigi” card introduce interaction and sabotage, creating shifting opportunities for clever timing and defense. Sumigi blends hand management, pattern recognition, and tactical card play. Players must evaluate probability, manage risk, and track opponents’ positions while identifying efficient additive combinations. Whether played casually or competitively, the game rewards flexibility, math intuition, and quick decision-making. The goal is simple: be the first player to close all your red Sum cards. With multiple modes of play—including team, scoring, match, and elimination variants—Sumigi offers a blend of educational value and engaging strategy that scales across ages and experience levels. —description from the publisher
