Description

In Sengoku: Clash of the Daimyō, players lead rival Daimyō clans struggling for power during Japan's Sengoku period. On a shared grid-based map inspired by Sudoku, players expand their Chain of Command, control key areas, gain Koku, use Retainers, build Castles, and race to complete a Capital before the final Imperial Summons. Each clan has its own Daimyō and asymmetric deck. During the game, players place cards, protect important positions, use hidden face-down cards, trigger traps, and form shifting alliances as they compete for control of the board. The core twist of Sengoku is its Rebellion system. The Sudoku-like placement rules create moments where matching numbers in the wrong places can break control, expose weaknesses, and open tactical opportunities. Expand your Chain of Command. Read the grid before your rivals do. Use Koku, Retainers, traps, and alliances at the right moment. Build your Capital and claim the title of Shogun. —description from the designer
