Muto

Description

Muto is a 2-player climbing and shedding game. Each round, players receive 14 cards from a 39-card deck. The dealer starts by playing any legal combination: singles, suited runs, pairs, or triplets. On each turn, the opponent must either overplay the combination or pass. Overplays can follow normal climbing rules (same type and length, higher rank), but single-suited combinations have an additional “suit-based overplay” rule: spades can be beaten by any 1-card combo, hearts by any 2-card combo, and clubs by any 3-card combo, even with lower ranks. The round ends when someone empties their hand; that player earns 1 point. The first player to reach 3 points wins the game. —description from the designer
