Description

Dive into the cutthroat world of international espionage in Martinis at Midnight: A Game of High-Stakes Espionage, a strategic card game for 4 Agents. Your goal is to become the Mastermind by securing the highest Influence Score when the game reaches its explosive end. But be wary: the mission could quickly descend into The Collapse. Key Features of the Game: The Double-Cross: At the start of each round, participate in a pivotal card-passing phase where you pass two cards face-down to your left and the crucial third card, the "Double-Cross," face-up to any other Agent at the table. Spycraft Suits: Wrangle with four suits: Protocol, Exposure, Cipher, and Shadow. These suits govern the trick-taking mechanics, where you must follow suit if possible. Vulnerability & Lethality: Manage your risk, as certain low-value cards (Lethality Cards: 2s through 5s of Exposure and Shadow) can trigger a penalty if played off-suit. The winner of that trick is forced to take a Vulnerability Token, which is a heavy penalty of -5 points against their final score. Game-Changing Aces: Control the flow of the game with two unique Ace cards: The Secret Exchange (Ace of Cipher): Play it out of turn to blindly swap one card with another player. The Extraction (Ace of Protocol): Instantly claim the current trick, regardless of the suit led. The game ends immediately when a player reaches or exceeds 100 Points (The Mastermind) , or when any Agent accumulates 6 Vulnerability Tokens (The Collapse). Only the Agent with the highest Influence Score at that moment wins! —description from the publisher
