Description

Cannon Ball is a French diceless game published in Jeux & Strategie #31 (1985). It is an American Football-like game were two teams of seven players have to score three times to win. The game appeared inside the magazine pages 64 and 65. The game is turn-based. The ball and the fourteen players are represented by counters moving in a playing area 15 x 13 square cases. The playing area is divided in 3 zones, the defense zone, the median zone and the attack zone. A player must take the ball in his attack zone to bring it to the in-goal area and score. Each turn, two players can be moved in one of the 8 directions (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) without distance limit OR a player can take the ball and pass it to a partner (in one of the 8 possible directions) successively until either scoring or clearing the ball in an empty hex.
