Description

Tidepools The Card Game was carefully crafted to be both accurate to the ecology of tide pools, and a fun, engaging game that has room for people who delve into strategy or those that just like the idea of collecting critters. A key mechanism is that the cards have two values, depending on whether they are in your hand or in your 'pool'. This causes the player to constantly choose which elements are alive in their pool at any given time. New cards are added to the deck as the game progresses through three 'tide' levels. Obstacles, in the form of event cards, occur during each of those tide levels. To win the players must maximize their tidepool biodiversity, by collecting the most different types of critters. 'Tidepools is a 2 to 6 player game that has a playing time of about 20 min per player.
