Description

The first half of the 20th century was a period of extraordinary discoveries in nuclear physics. During those years, scientific competition and international collaboration led to the rise of world-class research laboratories across Europe and beyond. In this game, each player leads one of these physics laboratories, inspired by the genius and experimental approach of the renowned Italian scientist. Through new theoretical and experimental research, you will develop cutting-edge instruments, train brilliant assistants, and present your discoveries at international conferences, with the goal of making your laboratory the most prestigious and influential of its time. Each turn, the player chooses one of the available actions and resolves it. The main actions are: building machines in your laboratory, producing new ideas, publishing theories, and attending a conference. The game is based on mechanics where you chain effects for continuous growth and stronger actions. The main tension is that the costs and end-game value of the four machines are common and increase quickly. You need to finish everything before the costs become too high! —description from the publisher
