Description

Isle of Feathers is a fast-paced, bird-based, 3D tile placement game about building the perfect island habitat for some very strange birds. Players stack chunky wooden tiles and place tokens to build the perfect island habitat for their birds. However, every bird is unique, and every player is jostling for position in the same space, so they need to build off each others’ moves, adapt to the constantly-changing island, and carefully deploy Ability Tokens to reshape the terrain and get their birds on the table. The simple but elegant placement system sees mountains, forests, and cliffs form organically through play, and no two islands will ever be the same. Players are also encouraged to make up a ‘Fun Fact’ about each species as they play, adding a light-hearted element of creative improv to the play experience. The game contains 52 species of real-world birds from across the world, each with detailed artwork and unique placement conditions. Isle of Feathers also has a dedicated solo mode with multiple challenge levels, reframing the gameplay into a bite-sized spatial puzzle. When the last tile is placed, the game ends. Every bird placed earns points and the player with the most points wins. —description from publisher
