Description

Capulana is a negotiation and pattern-building game that celebrates the traditional Mozambican fabric. Each round, players bid with their own fabric cards in a unique auction system where every offer is exchanged — the winner takes the prize card, but also receives the opponent’s spent cards, while the loser gains what the winner offered. Every trade shifts the value of your hand. After the auctions, players weave their fabric by placing cards into their personal capulana, arranging colors and patterns into long sequences. Points are scored only for runs of three or more matching colors or patterns, with bonus objectives providing extra goals. After four rounds, the most skillfully woven capulana — with the longest and richest sequences — earns victory.
