Description

Scarlyt is a fast, take-that card-and-dice game for 2–6 players where you raise a stronghold while undermining your rivals. On your turn you roll a die to draw from one of six specialized decks, then build your tableau with permanent black cards—Heroes, Creatures, and Buildings—while unleashing white cards—Spells, Artifacts, and Bonuses—for big swings and clever interruptions. Attacks resolve cleanly in order (Heroes → Creatures → Buildings), survivors heal, and timing windows invite bold reactions. Table politics matter. You can gift a white card to another player to curry favor (but you’ll lose your right to intervene that round), and Espionage triggers when someone amasses too many helpful white cards—forcing a risky die-roll discard. Off-turn Intervene artifacts cancel, reflect, shield, or save at just the right moment, creating dramatic stack-based exchanges that are easy to follow. Score victory points by constructing Buildings (and opportunistically tapping Secret Ruins for short-term gains). Start your turn at 8 VP to win—or claim an instant victory by assembling three Sheds. If three decks run dry, a final round is called and the highest score prevails. With streamlined rules, sharp interaction, and a constant flow of tactical choices, Scarlyt delivers quick, raucous sessions that reward timing, nerve, and a little luck. —description from the publisher
