Meeting your partner's family? Going on a first date? Looking for that new job? You must make a good First Impression! First Impressions is a trick-taking game of getting noticed! The game is played over five rounds. Each round, every player gets a minimum of 9 "attribute" cards. These cards represent qualities that someone may quickly see about you - the car you drive, the pet you have, where you live, and what you do for a living. Each round there will be 3 tricks to bid on - the tricks represent others who are impressed by different things. Some see money and living space; some see the car you drive or the pet you own. Some may look for little; some for a lot! Each player will strategically split their 9 cards into 3 groups of 3 cards, trying to meet the attributes that each trick is looking for with a “winning” combination. The player who meets the attributes best takes the trick. After 5 rounds, count up your points and see who wins! —description from the designer
