Description
Madikeri is a hill town located in area popularly known as Coorg, in Karnataka. It is renown for its coffee and spice plantations. In this game, you play the role of a estate owner who has to harvest a plantation. You compete with other players to score the highest points by growing crops and spices on your plantation. This is a tile laying game, with tiles representing the crops and spices. All players progressively harvest their own plantation of 16 tiles in a 4x4 grid in front of them. The plantation is harvested over four rounds. Each round involves each player picking four tiles from a central supply, keeping one they want & passing the remainder clockwise around the table. By drafting one tile from a progressively depleting pile that's passed by each player around the table, players collect four tiles each round. Players can temporarily store these tiles while waiting for a better one, or sow them in their plantation to score points. Tiles sown in the plantation cannot be changed for the rest of the game. Players can score points by harvesting crops, spices and by achieving goals. Scoring is done at the end of each round, so harvesting crops, spices or achieving goals earlier in the game can help you score higher. At the end of the game, players also score for the ability of the of the plantation to support future crops, so planning the edges of the plantation is also incentivized! The final score is the sum of the scores of the four rounds, plus the end game scoring. The highest score wins. -description from publisher —description from the publisher
