Description

8th Star is a 4X strategic sci-fi board game where players expand their territory to acquire vital resources, unlock unique technological advancements, and engage in massive fleet combat. Play as one of six unique alien factions to achieve victory through Conquest, Sanctuary, or Ascension. Conquest: Conquer another player's home world and prove yourself a force to be reckoned with. Sanctuary: Seize control of all 7 Sanctuary locations to gain access to the 8th Star. Ascension: Build all 6 of your Nexus to achieve your Ascension goal. Players take turns expanding their territory control via transport ships and combat, exploiting tile resources for the development of new fleets and technologies, and exterminating their rival's ships and stations. Each faction is tooled towards a different path to victory, but that doesn't mean it's their only way. The first player to achieve one of the victory types wins. —description from the publisher
