The Spiritualists

Description

In The Spiritualists, 2 players take on the role of Victorian-era psychic mediums, out to "prove" they are the real deal. In front of a gathered crowd, it is up to these 2 spiritualists to 'commune with the dead' to win the cards that the spirits favour. Every round, however, the stakes get higher, as the spiritualists must place tokens on their card mat to indicate which cards the spirits DO NOT want them to win (cursed cards). Each favoured card is worth positive points, but the cursed cards are worth more in negative points. Players must do their best to avoid winning cursed cards and manipulate their opponent into winning them instead. —description from the designer
