In The Stones of Nuria, up to 5 players take on the role of aspiring heroes. Another player can (but does not have to) take on the role of the Dark Master to put obstacles in the way of the group of heroes and take command of the hosts of evil. In each game, the heroes delve further into the forgotten history of the kingdom of Nuria, uncover the secrets of the Dark Master and confront powerful enemies. With each fallen foe, the group of heroes gains a strength that allows them to resist evil and even avert imminent death. The Dark Master thirsts for the heroes' life force. Every time a servant manages to land a hit, he steals this powerful force in the form of bloodstones. Only this power enables him to cast the most powerful spells or draw fallen heroes to his side.
