Description

You have 1 new message! From: unknown. "Now you're probably asking: where are you? You woke up in Free City with a new Identity. I no longer exist here. I've been disconnected. This is my last message. As of this moment, you have taken my place. You have come with a single purpose, to FIND THE SOURCE that holds us all. The path to it is filled with agents and hidden signs. But please, do not rush to your doom, if the Source's energy is recharged, we will be found again and our plan will be exposed. Soon you will find your way and all your questions will be answered. But now we have no more time... Find the Source, whatever it takes."

Find the Source is a PnP (Print and Play) board game with a Roll and Write mechanic. Print out the board of your choice, grab a pencil, 3 six-sided dice and begin the adventure!

Round summary

Roll two d6 and choose one of them
higher number: more action point, but the Source is charged
lower number: less action point, but improve yourself

Perform actions (Move, Fight, Hack, Collect Ammo, Activate Location)
 Charge the Source

Each turn you use two dice to determine how many actions you have. You can use your actions to activate a location, move around, eliminate agents, search a location, get ammo and hack an area. However, the Source will generate energy depending on your actions. The more powerful the effects you activate, the more energy the system will receive. You can also upgrade your character depending on the dice and location you choose, making you more and more effective in 5 different segments of the game. You win the game by finding out which location has the Source and eliminating all agents from that location. But you will fail if you run out of health or if the Source's energy bar is fully charged.

But you can't just play alone! If you print out several identical boards and each get their own dice set and pencils, up to three of you can embark on a COOPERATIVE adventure. And if you're looking for a particularly tough challenge, there's a game mode for that. Now heading to the Source!
