🤝 Inclusive design ⓘInclusive design is separate from a game’s queer labels. It marks games whose design is deliberately inclusive even when not queer-themed: romance or marriage mechanics with no gender constraint, character creation without a forced gender binary, gender-neutral rules language, or table safety tools. Each marker shows where we found it.
- Character creation free of a gender binary
According to the game’s rulebook
“You are... Who likes... A boy A girl A creature A pirate Boys Girls The Sea Gold (This table is merely a starter - if you want to be an identity not covered, go nuts.)”
Description
You are a CHISELED GAY PIRATE. You sail the SEXY SEAS with your CHISELED GAY PIRATE FRIENDS on the SS HOMOSEXUAL. GAYBEARD, the fruitiest pirate on the SEXY SEAS, has hidden his legendary stash of GAYBLOONS on RAINBOW ISLE. However, STRAIGHTBEARD and his crew of HOMOPHOBIARATES have sworn to steal the GAYBLOONS for themselves. You’re going to KICK THEIR BUTTS and STEAL THE GAYBLOONS for yourself. --------------------------------------- This is a two-page game about being chiseled gay pirates! It's meant to be a oneshot played over an hour or two. You'll need something to serve as tokens (pennies, rocks, paperclips), a willingness to get a lil silly, and 2-4 similarly gay pirate interested friends to play with. Game and art by me! Thank you to Jay's Brewery for giving me the motivation to make this, and thank you Em for reading it over and giving me advice. Fonts are Pirata 1, Celandine, and Ibarra Real Nova.
