Description

Psychic Trash Detectives is a two-time CRIT Awards WINNER for Best Indie TTRPG and Best Cover Artist. The author of Psychic Trash Detectives, Brigitte Winter, was nominated for Designer of the Year in the PAX Unplugged 2023 Tabletop Awards. The world is electric with supernatural energy, an interconnected web of memory and emotional echoes that only animals can perceive. Nowhere is that energy more present than in human trash — abandoned, lost, and discarded objects with long history, aching with deep psychic wounds. In this collaborative story game for 3-5 players, you play as Psychic Trash Detectives: animals who feel this energy in your bones. Will you be the cozy grandpossum wrapped in an afghan made from shredded plastic? Or the shrewd cockroach who sees right through the lies? Touch trash, have visions, and solve the mystery plaguing your outcast community! Easy to Learn Psychic Trash Detectives is a shared-GM game inspired by guidebook-style TTRPGs like Dialect and Alice is Missing. You do not need roleplaying experience to play—just open the book and start to read. Immersive Storytelling If you have played a TTRPG before, you'll find that Psychic Trash Detectives offers an immersive storytelling experience unlike any other. You and the other players will use actual trash to generate elements of the game world, resolve questions, and push the story forward. You'll use whatever trash you bring to the game space (or whatever trash is there already). Fiction & Poetry Read fiction and poetry inspired by trash by jason b. crawford, Deidre Delpino Dykes, Nino McQuown, Nat Mesnard, Tonee Moll, A.E. Osworth, Tyler Vile, Tristan B Willis and Dustin Patrick Winter!
