Description
A lightweight Faction-building TTRPG about the Nature of Power! Sing, O Erisian muse, of the world of Yssaia -- where your lost eyes are the price of magic and dusted dolls destroy cities... Under threat of Annihilation, the Philosopher King has conquered every known land. However, the peace is tentative at best — many Northerners hail the long-sleeping Emperor of Thuille, Demons still feed flesh to the hive of their Monarch, and YOU are the Leader of the world's newest Faction. And in a world where THEY have power, YOU do not. You must get it. Play as Heroes, Kings, Rebel Leaders, and More! Player Characters will take the role of Leaders and — with the moderation and adjudication of a Game Master (GM) — form Factions, gather Followers, and spread their Influence over the whole world. Will your Faction rise to power or break apart in the pressures of an everchanging world? Councils, Courts, or Masquerade Balls? Some TTRPGS are about battles, wars, or heists — Yssaia - The TTRPG is at its best as a political fantasy! Pull a knife from your ballgown and point it at the throat of the handsome prince from another realm. Win the patent war on your luxury cheese at trial. Trace rumors of illicit abalone trade in the West. What tactics will your Faction use to gain Influence? Freeform Classless Character Development There are no classes in Yssaia - The TTRPG -- instead, tell the story of YOUR character with the collection of 100+ Feats and Limitations. Your faction Leader can have any number of abilities or disabilities, fates or flaws, bloodlines or limbs lost. What stories will YOU tell about the world? What stories will the world tell about you?
