Description
You hear something over your shoulder: a conversion. You turn, and find others dressed similarly to you, with packs matching yours. You seem to be together, but for what you cannot remember. Where were you going? When will you reach your destination? Will you recognize it or just pass by unaware? You can’t seem to remember … a lot. Your name, where you’re from, why you’re in the woods, and what your mission was is all lost to you. You are utterly lost, but not alone. The Forgotten System is a game and setting about telling stories in tandem: tales of the present and past. Following the journey of a group which has chosen to leave home, but cannot remember why or anything else, the game chronicles the adventures of those who are finding themselves in newness. Flashbacks, called Rooted Memories, allow players to tell stories from before they left home. With an emphasis on learning and drawing parallels, The Forgotten System is a game for those who want to explore the idea of constant novelty.
